On average, every day in Québec, 22 children are reported missing to law enforcement agencies. These children disappear from home for a variety of
reasons... they may have run away after a heated argument with their parents or were lured away by an online predator. Some may have been taken to another
country by the noncustodial parent – perhaps to strike back at an ex-spouse – or they were simply abducted by someone the child does not know.
For whatever reason a child goes missing, parents' lives are turned upside down and minutes race into hours as they frantically seek their child's return home.
No matter the circumstances of a disappearance, a missing child's best hope for a safe return depends on immediate, coordinated and focused action.
